So every so often you do something stupid and this weekend was one of them. I knew the ground was soft here but it didn't look "that soft" so I went for it and lost. I dug my McCormick in so hard that even after I disconnected the spreader it took me 10 minutes to get my tractor out of the trench I dug. There was no way this spreader was pulling out with the tractor, it was filled with 6 tons of lime. We called our neighbor Russ and he pulled us out. Embarassing.
Whoops.
We needed heavy equipment to pull out the filled lime spreader. Once out we decided to abandon the back plots. It was just too wet. I had a dry field that was a lower priority but it was dry so I used the 6 tons for that field.
